Powder metallurgy, hot deformation, and AM materials processing
Wojciech Misiolek is the Loewy Professor of Materials Forming and Processing at Lehigh University and director of the Loewy Institute. His research career spans hot deformation, extrusion, and powder metallurgy, with more recent work on AM alloy development and post-process thermomechanical treatment. He has co-authored work characterising the microstructure-property relationships of LPBF aluminium and steel alloys after HIP and ageing, and has supervised industry-funded AM programmes targeting tooling, defence, and energy applications. Misiolek is a Fellow of ASM International and has served in leadership roles within TMS, the AIST, and the European Powder Metallurgy Association.
